Make-It-Over Monday Craft Challenge

What do you think about them? Remember, just because we are moving onto a new craft challenge item today doesn't mean you can't still submit your tooth fairy crafts. Submissions are still being accepted for any and all past Make-It-Over Craft Challenges.
Now, onto a new Make-It-Over Monday Craft Challenge! I thought I would use another theme this week instead of an item. How about pirate?

Dig through your craft cupboards, recycling bins, and even your closets to find inspiration for this craft challenge. Make anything pirate related and submit it to be featured here. You can make anything from boats and eye patches to parrots and treasure chests!
You can share your simple ideas and tips using the comments feature on this blog post, but to get your project possibly featured in the next Make-It-Over Monday blog post, please submit it using this simple form. If you make the project you are submitting, take a picture of it and submit the photo. Some of the submitted ideas will be shared in the next Make-It-Over Monday blog post. Preference will be given to those projects that are submitted with photos. You can look through projects submitted for past challenges if you want some inspiration.

My site is your site... Not only do I pride myself in doing everything I can to give my visitors what they want, but also in giving them a place where they can share their craft ideas and tips. Take a moment, use one of these simple forms, and share your unique talents, crafty recipes, helpful hints, project ideas, and more with everyone who visits the Family Crafts site.
You can also share your expertise, tips, and stories related to a variety of craft topics. There are many topics that are waiting for reader responses. Not only can you share your own responses, you can read what everyone else has shared.
I love getting photos of your completed crafts. If you complete a project posted on my site, feel free to snap a photo and send it to me. Besides adding pictures of finished crafts to specific project pages, I also have several photo galleries where new photos are always welcome. Check out my current galleries below and then send in your pictures.

Winter Fun
By this time of year I tend to start getting sick of winter. Let's face it though, there is no escaping it unless I want to climb aboard a plane and fly south. Instead of getting grumpy about winter, why not celebrate it. I have gathered together 50 simple winter related activities for you to try. It includes everything from simple arts and crafts projects to tasty snacks and fun games.
Here is a sampling of what you will find in my collection of easy winter crafts and activities:
- Gather several pairs of mittens. Sort them by size, color, design, left hand, right hand, etc.
- Make miniature igloos using marshmallows and frosting.
- Paint the snow using food coloring or tempera paint mixed with water. Put the mixture in a squirt bottle and have a blast!
- Make a snowstorm inside by tearing up several pieces of white paper. Place them on a sheet or towel, have everyone grab around the edge, and toss the snow into the air.
- Cut snowflakes out of coffee filters and hang them around the room.
- Finger paint snowflakes on the windows using white tempera paint mixed with a bit of dish soap!
- Read all 50 Easy Winter Activities
